Anthony-Berino Survey

On October 11, 2007 Office of Contract Archeology conducted a small survey east of US Interstate 10 north of the town of Anthony, Doña Ana county, New Mexico. The work was performed for the Anthony-Berino Economic Development Corporation of Anthony, New Mexico. Two sites and three isolated occurrences were discovered during the survey. The first site, LA 157711, is a single hearth dating to the Formative period. The second site, LA 157712 is a lithic and fire-cracked rock scatter of probable Archaic origin.
